Proverbs 20:24

"Since the Lord is directing our steps, why try to understand everything
that happens along the way?"
I was just thinking this morning....it has been two weeks since the guys tried to do the railings.....then I realized by the time they come
next week, it will be three weeks!! That
is a long time :( So, my next thought or audible words were something like, "sure glad you know what your doing, God". Then mentally thinking (as if God could not hear me :), "sure is taking a long time".......all the while knowing there is a reason. Knowing God has a plan. Knowing I need to get right back into that resting place of abandoned trust and stop trying to figure things out all the time or even understand. Often we will not understand and that is when we have to let God be God in our lives - just the way He wants to be....then I run across a verse like Proverbs 20:24 and immediately feel the truth in that and let go and step forward and press on........
We serve an Awesome God!!!

Pleasant Sights

"Pleasant sights and good reports
give happiness and health."
Proverbs 15:30

Hey, here is a pleasant sight.......see the shadow.......that means
the sun is shining!!!

Which means the snow is beginning to melt.....slowly....but it is melting. See the gravel and grass through the snow?? The weather is changing. We have planned a "railing work day" for a week from this Saturday, that is Saturday the 16th. Please pray with us that all will go well!!

Seattle..........

It was really nice to see Aimee and get to spend some time with her before we go. Before we left town, we took her to work and she fixed us up with coffee for the road.........
Aimee at Zoka!!

Travels...............

We keep working hard sorting and packing and sorting some more.........we have had a couple nice breaks taking trips. One time Dennis and I went over to measure for a job he is doing out of Portland, we saw lots of snow on the mountain............

Last week we drove up to Seattle to help Aimee move into a new house. There was snow from here to Seattle!! They had just had snow in Salem, Portland and Seattle. The main highway was clear though and it was a great drive!!

On our way home there is always this spot just before Sisters where you start seeing the sun peek through the clouds. It is almost like there is an imaginary line and when you cross over it....

the sky breaks open and there is blue again.................and you know you are
back in Central Oregon!!

ahhhhh home again................
